Former Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Lawal Pedro (SAN) has debunked allegation that he defrauded Chief Afe Babalola’s firm (SAN) of $10 million in professional fees.

Babalola had petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate Pedro for allegedly defrauding his law firm of $10 million in professional fees.

Chief Afe Babalola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate former Solicitor-General of Lagos state, Lawal Pedro for allegedly defrauding his law firm of $10 million in professional fees.

Babalola, also, wants the ICPC to investigate how the family of Gbadamosi Eletu of Osapa Village, Lagos substituted his law firm for that of Pedro, thereby depriving his firm of $10 million professional fees.

A prominent Lawyer, Chief Afe Babalola, on has charged the Anglican Communion to reverse its policy , which converted his alma mater and first primary school in Ekiti State, Emmanuel Anglican Primary School, Ado Ekiti , to a bakery, describing this as an insult.

Babalola, founder of Afe Babalola University, who described the conversion as insulting, lamented that the school that had produced lawyers, doctors, teachers and eminent personalities was now a bakery.

Founder of Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), Ado Ekiti, Aare Afe Babalola, has advised parents to join hands with the institution to mould the character of students.

Speaking at the 7th matriculation ceremony of the university held yesterday, Babalola said the present generation of students found it difficult to abide by rules and regulations, hence the need to pay more attention to them.

Babalola said the experience he had garnered as the chancellor of the institution in the last six years could not be compared with his 53 years experience as a legal practitioner.

Founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, (ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, on an award of transparency conferred on him by the 2015 Nigerian States Budget Transparency Survey.

The survey was conducted by the Civil Resources Development Documentation
Centre, CIRDDOC.

In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, the renowned lawyer said the state won the award for the first time in its 19 years of existence.
